He writes his rap lyrics under the pen-name "JOKER".
His style is hip-hop, and he likes to portray a cuddly personality that is at odds with his image.

Koki has a bit of an angsty past—he went to high school and even formed a brief group with Yamapi so he was kind of seen as a senpai. When Johnny put him into KAT-TUN he felt like he was being demoted and as revenge he ripped off the "T" on the back of his costume to show his dislike for the group. He is so rebellious, 
He's the most educated in KAT-TUN, and  went to university! After dropping out, he really wanted to go back to school but management basically told him that if he didn't join KAT-TUN he wouldn’t do anything with his life. My poor Koki. L
Underneath Koki's tough and somewhat scary exterior, you'll find that he's actually a caring, sweet and loyal guy. He was voted "Most Father-Like" in KAT-TUN for a reason! He's really family oriented  loves kids, and is just a genuinely honest, funny guy. 
He also sews . As in jewelry, clothing, shoes; he made all the costumes for KAT-TUN's Kaizokuban concert 
That's not to say he doesn't have a sadistic side to him. During lives he's been known to get violent, he's given Kame a pair of boob-pillows for his birthday

A while after the group KAT-TUN was formed he wanted to quit JE to further his studies 
behind his cool, sometimes scary act, Koki has a big adorable personality.
Off-camera he is a warm and gentle person  who loves animals with such a passion that he wants to someday live surrounded by them.
He wants a big family, because he loves children, and wants a wife he can spoil rotten.
He loves to write lyrics, though people often ignore his intelligent and unique lyrics because he raps them.

Koki also has an odd kind of obsession with Jin. In the 2003 rap "SIX GROOVE", he wrote about Jin: "He has a dirty body and a sexy voice...". And when Jin dressed up as a nurse for the KAT-TUN Clinic sketch, Koki wrote a poem saying "your nurse uniform made my heart 'hira-hira'." He thinks Jin makes a very sexy woman, and was also quoted as saying that if he had to choose a member of KAT-TUN to be his lover, it would be Jin.
